Car Accident In Tennessee Kills 1, Injures Several

Losing a loved one in a motor vehicle accident can be a harrowing experience. Should the accident come as a result of another party's negligence, the surviving family members of the victim may wish to know more about their available options to pursue restitution. A recent car accident that took place in Tennessee has claimed the life of a passenger and left several others with injuries.

Law enforcement agents advised that the incident took place as the driver of a westbound van was attempting to make a left turn at an intersection. Upon attempting to navigate the turn, the driver reportedly pulled directly into the path of another vehicle. After striking the second vehicle, the van was pushed into the path of a nearby truck, resulting in a chain-reaction crash involving three vehicles in total.

Police have advised that the driver who caused the crash claims he or she did not see the second vehicle prior to the collision. They have also advised that several individuals suffered injuries in the crash and that a passenger in the van was pronounced dead at the scene. Although an investigation into the accident has been initiated, no further information was provided as to whether any other contributing factors were present.

A fatal car accident can be a devastating incident that may leave victims with injuries and surviving loved ones grieving over a sudden loss. Those who encounter harm or loss in such an incident could choose to speak with an attorney for guidance on the available legal avenues. An attorney can examine the incident and assist a client in Tennessee in pursuing restitution through a claim against the party or parties deemed at fault.
